I've woke up 3:30 am, knowing that electricity are off in my house.There's no other choice, i need to go out to Mamak Restaurant to watch this game. Football crazy, eh!
United: Van Der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs (C), Rooney
To be honest, i'm quiet disappointed with the line -up and 4-5-1 formation. But Fergie always know better.
1st Half: Both teams cancel each others out. Both team had equal number of half chances to score. Pacey Bellamy and Tevez always fretting me.
2nd Half: Fergie opted to stick the line up. Old foot of Scholes struck the breakthrough after a good work from Rooney and Giggs. 19 minutes later, another midfielder, Carrick slotted home from the similar distance. Rooney can make it 3, but he missed a sitter few minutes later. Brown in for Rafael to tighten the back 4. After 25 minutes of The Reds great spells, Tevez silent the home crowd to made the aggregate 3-3. Carrick missed another opportunity and an Extra Time seem inevitable. But man of the moment, Rooney settled the tie after headed home a cross from Giggs.
Though the Carling Cup are the least priority, knocked out the noisy neighbour always a sweet moment to savour. And The Reds marching on to Wembley, once again!
