Scousers Duo Won It For United

Final
Villa 1-2 United

Its a cup final, the first silverware of the season to be win. Our record against The Villans seem unconvinced lately.

United: Kuszczak, Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra (C), Valencia, Carrick, Fletcher, Park, Berbatov, Owen.

Surprise, surprise. Man-Of-The-Moment was excluded in the starting line up. Rooney only started from the bench while first choice GK was given a good rest.

1st Half: Villa started the game lively and they only took 5 minutes to breached United's defense. Pacey Agbonlahor deluded Vidic. The Serbian hacked him down and leaving the referee no choice. Penalty for Villa and Milner coolly slotted it home. But United response rapidly 7 minutes later. Owen and Berbatov definitely had no pace to burn but their cool head and composure are priceless. Berbatov stole the ball from Dunn and the Irish defender made a good tackle, only to assist on -rushing Owen. But the Englishman epic return to Wembley ended prematurely in 40th minute. Here come red hot striker, Wayne Rooney. Park almost made 2-1, but he hit the post.

2nd Half: The game leaned to United favour. Park tireless run and Valencia darting forward made Villa's defense occupied. And Rooney headed it home in 74th minute, from Valencia's great cross from the right flank. Rooney almost ensure the win but the post saved Friedel for the 2nd time tonight. Villa pushed forward at the last 5 minutes but failed to find the equalizer.

And the little Frenchman, Evra lift the trophy and United successfully defend the title. Glory Glory Man Utd!
