Scholes The Centurion

Wolves 0-1 United

Arsenal won in the early game and Chelsea aren't involve in Premier League commitment this weekend. 10 games left and a win are essential.

United: Van Der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand (C), Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Gibson, Carrick, Nani, Berbatov.

The line up looked strong, minus Rooney. Great to see Vidic and Ferdinand partnership restore.

1st Half: The home side suprisingly control the game but United hold on. Obviously Berbatov can't make his mark when he play alone up front. Gibson seem the most advance midfielder to help Berbatov but he seem clueless there. The best chance fell for Wolves but luckily they failed to convert it.

2nd Half: United marked their authority and control the possession. Past an hour mark, SAF opted to change Diouf for Gibson. The change took on positive effect and old man Scholes calmly finish in close range. Itis 100th league goals in United's colour. Diouf missed few opportunity to finish the contest, it proved that he's not ready yet to be a regular. Wolves tried to push things on in the last 10 minutes, and missed 1 great chance in dying minutes. United finished the nervously and another 3 points in the bag.

United are the top of the league and the hope for Premier League title still rosy.
