Rooney-less United Running Riot

Bolton 0-4 United

Mixed news in the start of the game. Chelsea battered Villa 7-1 and Arsenal dropped another 2 points. Another motivation to grab another 3 points, or its the aim remain the same no matter how another rivals doing in their games.

United: Van Der Sar, Neville (C), Evans, Vidic, Evra, Valencia, Scholes, Fletcher, Nani, Giggs, Berbatov.

Rooney and Ferdinand omitted all together, not even on the bench. Calculated gamble they say or the duo really nursing their injury?

1st Half: Bolton are known for the long ball team with physical approach. They changed a bit under Owen Coyle, but the general approach still remain the same. Tight affair in the 1st half, both teams got their best chances through both leading striker, Berbatov and Elmander, but both opposite Goal Keeper done so well. But very known contributor for United strike again, another own goal aid United breakthrough. Nice finish! Van Der Sar produced yet another world class save to deny Bolton's equalizer.

2nd Half: The momentum swinging to United's favour. Berbatov and Nani provide the main threat with an aid from Giggs. Berbatov got United 2nd after pounching the rebound ball after Fletcher's initial effort. Nani improved his dire 1st performance with an assist for the 3rd goal. The tricky winger set for Berbatov's 2nd after menacing in left flank side. The change made with an eye for midweek encounter. Scholes, Fletcher, Giggs out for Gibson, Carrick and Macheda. Gibson finished his first attack very well, after Nani done the nice work. Final scoreline, 4-0 for United. Good answer for Chelsea's question.

United back on top with slimest advantage. 6 games to go, and the BIG one come in the next Saturday. Glory Glory Man Utd!
