Misfiring Gunners

Arsenal 1-3 United

The line up are expectable, United go for 4-3-3. Vidic not even on the bench but Vermaelen miraculously recovered from suspected broken bones (never fully trust Manager's press conference)

United: Van Der Sar, Rafael, Brown, Evans, Evra (C), Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Park, Rooney.

1st Half: Good pace of the game. End to end action and both teams showed their intention to grab all the 3 points. Arshavin and Rooney had couple of chances to put their team ahead. But Nani steal the show. He beaten 3 Gunners players before casually chipped the ball over helpless Almunia. Whether its cross or an attempt to goal, the goal keeper failed to deal with it and pushed the ball to his own goal. 1-0. Few minutes later, a combination of Park-Rooney-Nani surged forward and made the second goal for United. Its quiet similar to 3rd goal last season (Park-Rooney-Ronaldo, 2nd Leg of CL semi final). Nani have chance to bed in the third.

2nd Half: 2-0 up, the United's gameplan will be simple. Shore in defense and waiting a right time to hit on the break. Park tighten United's grip on the game by scoring from another counter attacking. The game looked faded after that. The host tried to rallied the players and they scored 1 goal, 10 minutes before the final whistle.

Totally satisfying game for me! The title race really kicking in!
