Everton Youngster Break United’s Heart

Everton 3-1 United

Man of the moment, Rooney, goes back to his old playing ground. BOO chorus are well expected, but hopefully it’ll make him more determine to shut the crowds.

United: Van Der Sar, Neville (C), Brown, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Fletcher, Park, Rooney, Berbatov.

1st Half: United’s began the game decently and the gameplan seem obvious, attack the right through Valencia to feed the markmen. And it proved effective when Valencia’s cross reached Berbatov and the Bulgarian calmly finished it off. But Everton responded rapidly through nice strike Bilyaletdinov, 3 minutes later. Rooney got his chance after nice one –two with Berbatov, but failed to convert it. The half ended 1-1.

2nd Half: No real action in first 20 minutes. Ferguson send in Obertan and Owen for Berbatov and Park. But the opponent subsituations stole the spotlight. Gosling finished it off well after received nice cross from Pienaar. Another sub, Rodwell made a terrific run to beat Evans and shot passed Van Der Sar. 2 graduated player from Everton youth setup broke United’s heart.

Another defeat for champion hopeful. Chelsea and Arsenal really had a chance to benefit from this result
