Perfect Start, Miserable End

United 3-2 Bayern
I'm not reading anything much about football in general, or pre -match discussion and team news after back to back defeat. So, it's quiet surprise to see Rooney walk out from a tunnel. Glad, but a bit concern cause he's not in his best shape. But 80% fit Rooney are simply better than 100% fit Berbatov in 4-3-3 formation. And Bayern welcome back their own talisman, Robben.

United: Van Der Sar, Rafael, Vidic, Ferdinand (C), Evra, Carick, Fletcher, Gibson, Valencia, Nani, Rooney.

1st Half: United showed their obvious intention to attack right from the start. And Gibson showed why is he chosen ahead of other midfielder when his piledriver get United perfect headstart. United was in control for the opening 30 minutes. Another 2 goals to show, when Valencia and Nani combined well twice to terrorised visitor's defender. The crowds showed concern to every tackles made towards Rooney, and he seem not comfortable towards the end of 1st half. Bayern stole an away goal, Olic buried it in close range after lapse of concentration of home defender.

2nd Half: The disaster began here. Rafael displayed his immaturity by hauled off Ribery to earned him 2nd yellow card. OShea in for Rooney to balance our defensive line. The game swung to Bayern's favour, they waved attack after after attack to nick another away goal, and pressure paid off. Well taken corner kick by Ribery met perfect volley from Robben, what a goal! Giggs and Berbatov in for Gibson and Carrick. At this point, no matter how, United must score another goal against 11 men. And we failed to do it.

Perfect start but miserable ending. The season are almost over. Hopefully we can win 5 remaining PL games to end this season highly.
